2025 December Outreaches

On Sunday, 14th December 2025, Daso Foundation country Director for Nigeria, Pro Segun Obaro, led the Oyo State Volunteer Team into the heart of Ogbomoso North.

Our mission was clear, to bring hope, dignity, and love to the people in some of the most forgotten communities: Obamo, Afejewe, Ogogo, Ikoyi, and Oju Oja. Through our Love Your Neighbour Campaign, we distributed food palliatives — Rice, Beans, Tomato paste, Maggi, Salt and other vital supplies like bedsheets to widows, widowers, elderly citizens, orphans, and the less privileged.

This isn’t just charity. This is nation-building. This is the heart of Africa rising. When we, her sons and daughters, take responsibility for the streets and stories that the world ignores.

“The soul of a nation is seen in how it treats its forgotten people.”

In a time where many are focused only on headlines and high places, Daso Foundation continues to focus on grassroots transformation going where others don’t, serving those many have forgotten. This is the Nigeria we believe in: one where compassion is a currency, and communities are rebuilt by love in action.

As we close the year, our hearts are set in 2026, a year of expansion, impact, and deeper reach into the rural corners of Nigeria and across sub-Saharan Africa. The needs are great, but our vision is greater.

We invite more partners, volunteers, and sponsors to join hands with us. Africa will not rise by speeches alone, but by sacrificial seeds sown in love.

To every volunteer who walked those dusty roads with us, to every donor who believed in our mission, and to every heart we touched; thank you. We are not just giving food; we are awakening dignity.

The wonderful team of Volunteers from Daso Foundation were at Koji community in Bassa Local Government Area of Kogi State on 5th December 2025, and the visit was more than an outreach — it was a clear expression of compassion in action.

It formed part of the ongoing “Love Thy Neighbours” Campaign, a mission built on the simple but powerful belief that kindness should travel beyond comfort zones and reach people wherever they are.

Getting to Koji community was not easy. The journey demanded patience, courage, and determination as the team had to cross the River Niger by boat before finally arriving at their destination. The long hours on water and the physical stress did not weaken their spirit; instead, it strengthened their resolve. It was a reminder that true service is not always convenient, but it is always meaningful. When the purpose is genuine love, obstacles become stepping stones rather than barriers.

Upon arrival, the warmth and excitement of the community created an unforgettable atmosphere. Smiles replaced fatigue, and every handshake, greeting, and expression of gratitude affirmed that the journey was worth it. The volunteers did not just bring items or assistance; they brought hope, encouragement, and a sense of belonging. For many in the community, the visit was a reassurance that they are seen, remembered, and valued.

Sharing in the love of the festive season with the people of Koji community was the highlight of the outreach. The festive period often magnifies both joy and need, and the presence of the foundation turned the season into a moment of shared happiness rather than silent struggle. Laughter from children, heartfelt appreciation from elders, and the unity among residents painted a picture of what humanity looks like when love leads the way.

This outreach stands as a testimony that impact is not measured only by size or publicity, but by sincerity and consistency. The Daso Foundation volunteers demonstrated that when people come together with pure intentions, they can cross rivers, overcome distance, and bridge gaps between communities. It is a living proof that love, when practiced intentionally, can travel far and touch lives deeply.
